Meet MacKenzie Wheaton

What MacKenzie Does…
Group Sales Manager – The Omni Grove Park Inn – Asheville NC

I am responsible for bringing large groups of people to the Resort for conferences.  In my position, I get to travel all over the U.S. to showcase The Omni Grove Park Inn. I work with Meeting Planners from a wide variety of organizations in an effort to host their meetings.

MacKenzie’s Story…..

I attended school at UNC Asheville where I majored in Business Administration. Looking for a part-time job, I began working as a Turndown Attendant in Housekeeping at the hotel. I then saw the opportunity to develop this job into a career and moved to the Sales Department as an Assistant. From a Sales Assistant, I have been promoted three times, landing in my current position as Group Sales Manager.

Meet Elizabeth Manley

What Elizabeth Does…
Director of Revenue Management – The Omni Grove Park Inn – Asheville NC

On a day to day basis, I analyze the shift in the local and regional markets for leisure travel. This, in turn, helps me forecast room revenue for the upcoming months for both group and leisure travelers.  Other areas that I oversee include, the local call center and group coordinators.

Elizabeth’s Story….

I have a degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management. The Grove Park Inn was the location of one of my internships and I returned because of the beautiful setting and amazing staff. I started in an entry-level position and have worked my way to a director position.
