Job Description

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for a unique cross-section of marketing disciplines from helping determine creative direction of advertising to leading social media efforts. This position collaborates with all Resort departments, Omni Corporate, and third-party agency partners.

Responsibilities

  • To generate greater awareness of the property and brand on a local and national level.
  • Provide advertising support for the purpose of generating incremental hotel revenues, local community visibility, and event promotion.
  • Coordinate advertising placement and complete information for ad agency partners to execute campaigns.
  • Help manage the digital marketing and social media third-party agencies.
  • Lead social media strategy, content creation and community management with teammates.
  • Manage social media sites for the hotel (i.e., Facebook and Instagram). Keep up with social media trends to stay ahead of the curve. Create content that's on-trend and on-brand.
  • Graphic design capabilities to create advertising and on property collateral on-site.
  • Aid in creating and ordering all Marketing and Sales related printing projects, such as brochure materials, posters, ads, direct mail pieces, invitations, promotional items, etc. Rough drafts are to be approved by DOM. Printing requests are to be submitted with a PO.
  • Coordinate all elements for new signage and in-room collateral (to include design, copy, photography and output).
  • Assist in the development and execution of promotions and packages.
  • Proof and edit all collateral before processing print requests.
  • Work with Omni Hotels & Resorts corporate social media and digital teams as necessary or as requested to assist in promoting the hotel on joint campaigns/marketing efforts.
  • Produce regular reports with the team on how marketing initiatives are driving the business. Understand how to use Google Analytics and SQL Reports.
  • Serve as point of contact for advertising partnerships.
  • Ensure that listings in directories/OTAs/review sites are accurate and current.
  • Ability to coordinate photoshoots for the property.
  • Assist with special events within the hotel.
  • Generate Purchase Orders for marketing related items. Code invoices. Help manage department expenses.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing or Related Field.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in marketing related role, preferably for a hospitality or luxury brand.
  • Ability to multi-task in demanding/quick turn environment, adhering to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of agency structure.
  • Proven success of building strategic campaigns and solving business queries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with optimistic outlook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Hospitality industry knowledge a strong plus
  • Ability to work well & collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be attentive to detail.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.
  • Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings.
  • Must be willing and able to work in unfavorable weather.
