Fox Factory Holding Corporation, located out of California plans to expand their regional footprint headquarters by adding a new facility in the south Asheville area town of Fletcher.
Fox said it will renovate a 20,000 sq. foot property for purposes of research and development, sales and finance departments. The expansion will help grow the biking division in the eastern United States of America. The expansion will also help serve their European market.
Employment opportunities for the facility are expected to be posted at ridefox.com and ncworks.gov. The company will accept applications for openings at the Annual Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce Career Fair in January.
With the addition of Fox, the Economic Development Coalition for Asheville-Buncombe County said Western North Carolina has more than 30 manufacturers, distributors and outfitters producing products for biking, boating, camping and other sports.
“Outdoor products are a unique and important part of the Asheville Metro economy,” EDC Chair Janice Brumit said. “The commitment by Fox will advance our reputation as an East-Coast hub for outdoor adventure, innovative products, and recreation technologies. We are thrilled to welcome Fox to Asheville.”
The move is projected to result in about new 47 jobs over the next five years, adding to the more than 1,400 employees it has worldwide.
