Meet Karen Olsen
Mission Health – VP, Chief Nursing Officer

Karen’s Story
I joined Mission Health in 2011 because I wanted to be part of an organization with a focus on quality, patient-centered care and one who valued and empowered their team to create that future. I have many years of nursing leadership and a wide range of clinical experience including being a retired Commander of the Navy Nurse Corps.

What Karen Does
VP, Chief Nursing Officer
I have responsibility for nursing services and other clinical service programs for Mission Hospital and outpatient departments of the hospital. As CNO I represent the voice of the frontline caregiver ensuring their input is valued and nursing practice is supported. Through my role I am able to influence change and am a strategic partner in organization-wide decision making.

“We have highly skilled, caring and compassionate people working here and have a strengths-based culture which makes this a great place to work and practice.”
“Recognizing the talents our caregivers bring to the table and seeing the quality care we deliver to our community!”
